As a maker of film and video, a writer of literature, a composer of music, and all-around renaissance man in-the-making, I like giving myself as many outlets for my creativity as possible. I also like time to think. Think about whatever comes to mind. This website is being opened exclusively as a means to host written fiction and essays that allow me that privilege to discuss whatever I wish to. I’ll post flash fiction here, updates on my many projects, and all-around essays on whatever happens to strike me.
This blog will be updated irregularly, as I’m simply interested in having a low-stakes outlet for these many thoughts and stories.
Here’s the list of other gigs you’ll find me frequenting. The time and effort taken to get these off the ground are why I’ll treat Universe as more of a loose cannon:
365 Infantry - My wolven cyberpulp extravaganza, the story of a computer goddess perfecting civilization into the ground, and the brave warriors fighting against her reign with grit, determination, and heavy metal in every sense of the word. This speculative anthology magazine, set in an insane world made of equal parts Blade Runner and Mad Max, is my greatest passion project, standing tall as a testament to my drive as a creator.
Quality Candor - While currently at-ease (as of writing this), here is where you can find my many video projects, chiefly documentaries on oddities in the world of film, music, and more, as well as past reviews and special projects like “The Cult Refresh,” my attempt to rectify the lack of curation of classic and indie media.
Bandcamp - All my latest musical endeavors, from synthetic singles to full-length albums to special collabs, can be found here. I started out a classical composer, and while that DNA still rears its head, I’ve taken an interest in emulating retro electronica with splashes of jazz, rock, and more.
I’m also general editor for movie review website A Fistful of Film and the current layout editor for Anvil: Iron Age Magazine. And out of respect for both platforms, I will say that the views expressed here do not reflect those of either outlet.
Lastly, a word of warning: this will be me completely unfiltered.
I do not write to offend, nor do I write to kowtow. I write because I have something to say, and I’d like to say it. I’m not a naturally inflammatory man, but I’m not averse to hitting the subject at express speed. Above all else, I hope to provide a unique perspective in a sea of binary opinionating, a young man (21 as of now) with a vast knowledge of the arts, an eloquence to match, and unafraid of some good-old fashioned juvenility for the sake of self-amusement.
That said, I hope to entertain as well (and perhaps above all else), because I would rather have a headful of stories than a headful of opinions. But I have both, so it is what it is. Strap in and hang on, because within here, we’re going out of this world and into the Universe of the Astounding.
